I help science organizations tell their stories by developing communication strategies, writing articles, coordinating marketing campaigns, and leading website redesigns. I thrive when involved in a diverse set of projects, so I work as an independent contractor under the business name Red Root LLC. Learn more about what I can offer your project.

Experience

Growing up I was inspired by math, design, and my relationship with nature — all the while dreaming of becoming a scientist or architect. Then, I discovered my passion for storytelling and recognized humanity's need to understand and be inspired by our natural surroundings. Trained in college as a science writer and graduating with a communications degree, I seek to combine my love for storytelling, eye for design, and aptitude for the quantitative. It's this combination of left- and right-brained abilities which makes me an effective communicator, exceptional teammate, and an efficient project manager.
